  1. Information about TCS Multimedia Player version 1.0

  3. TCS Multimedia Player is an easy-to-use Windows program 
  4. for playing multimedia files. I originally programmed it 
  5. as a part of a bigger program, but I later thought 
  6. that I needed a small, easy-to-use program for playing 
  7. multimedia files, so I transformed the multimedia part 
  8. into a smaller program.
  9. Because TCS Multimedia Player is a small, easy-to-use 
  10. program, it doesn't support so many file formats, only
  11. the most common, but it should be enough for the normal 
  12. user. Maybe I'll add support for more file formats in 
  13. later versions, I don't know yet.

  15. These file formats are supported by TCS Multimedia 
  16. Player:

  18. Sounds    Normal sound files in WAV format
  19. MIDI    MIDI files in the formats MID and RMI
  20. Movies    Movies in AVI format
  21.  
  22. TCS Multimedia Player includes these files:

  24. TCSMULTI.EXE    The program
  25. README.TXT    This information file
  26. GAUGE.VBX    System file
  27. CMDIALOG.VBX    System file
  28. MCI.VBX        System file
  29. VBRUN300.DLL    System file

  31. When you install the program all the system files 
  32. should be placed in the Windows system directory, 
  33. usually c:\windows\system, and all the other files in 
  34. another directory from which the program can be started.

  36. Command line arguments
  37.  
  38. If you want to, you can use command line arguments to
  39. open a file when you start the program. These arguments
  40. are accepted:

  42. %filename%        Opens a file
  43. /play %filename%    Opens a file and plays it
  44.  
  45. %filename%=the name of the file that is to be opened
  46.  
  47. This program is FREEWARE, and may be uploaded to the 
  48. Internet or any BBS.
